romney, that will be a shocking development. republicans lost the state by 14 points four years ago. >> geraldo: ohio. everyone is talking about the buckeye state. what about ohio, scott? >> ohio is very close. showing it tied right now. that is a state again where the democrats actually think they had the edge on the ground. almost all of the polling has shown anything from a tie to a slight obama lead. this is a state that democrats are very confident they can hang on to. the president really needs to win both ohio and wisconsin if he wants to keep his job. romney needs to win one of those two. >> geraldo: iowa? >> iowa, another tie state. this this midwest that is become the pattern. the des moines register came out and for the first time in decades endorsed the republican candidate. why? the economy is the key issue. and in all of these states what we are starting to see is voters are saying they trust romney more than obama when it comes to the economy. >> geraldo: scott rasmussen we will be checking back with you. what are you doing tomorrow night? well, you will let me know a

republicans and make sure that a ground game turns out the vote. the same for mitt romney and paul ryan. they are feeling good about a lot of states where they've closed with the president, if they haven't surpassed him. what they're always hoping, too, tamron is that this is 1980 and that there's going to be a last-minute wave for romney. had they come to the polls, they go, i've really gone back and forth. it's time for something new and that he ends up winning, and maybe it's not by a landslide, but by a very healthy margin. and that's what they're counting on in these final days. >> keith, let me bring you in. i want to play a little bit of what the director of marist polling had to say about what we're seeing in some of these numbers. let's play it. >> mitt romney's favorable, unfavorable is still upside down in iowa, not in new hampshire or wisconsin. iowa is still maintaining that pattern that we've seen a lot this fall. so it hasn't moved for him. the other thing is iowa is a huge early voting state. and i think if the story of this election ends up being the re-election, i

scenario is to take ohio. no republican has ever won without i9. if governor romney can get those votes plus virginia around north carolina, that would get him to 266. over here in the east, he would need just one more. any one of the remaining states, if governor romney can do florida, virginia, north carolina and ohio, any one of the remaining states would put him over the top. that's what makes this one so, so important. so if he does that, then he's got a pretty interesting terrain. he's competitive in colorado, this one tends to be leaning democratic. the romney campaign says it's competitive, but consistent polling in the wisconsin. this one here, romney campaign says it's competitive, let's for hypothetical let's say that's a safer pick to give that to the president. i'm going to take it back and make it a tossup state again. i was in colorado recently. this is a true toss-up. for the sake of argument say governor romney gets that. then you're out here in the east again, 253, 257. for the sake of argument give that to the president, you're at 259, 257. who wins nample? only
